What is involved in the Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Procedure?
During the treatment small volumes of dermal filler gel are injected at several places along the nose. That can be done using a canula or directly injected with a needle. This process can change and can reshape and contour the nose to achieve results that were previously only ever possible with plastic surgery. Non surgical nose reshaping is mainly suitable for those who need refinement of their nose shape.
What type of Dermal Filler is used for a Non-Surgical Nose Shaping?
At London Real Skin, we use a semi-permanent dermal filler. This means if for some reason you are not happy with the result, your practitioner can dissolve entirely the product injected. Juvederm is the brand we use and VOLUMA is the type of filler used for the non-surgical nose job. VOLUMA is a ticker hyaluronic acid filler, so it is safe to inject along the bridge of the nose as well as in the tip.
Is having a Non-Surgical Nose Job a safe procedure?
Injection of hyaluronic acid into the nose to correct minor deformities or soften its shape is an advanced technique. The procedure is very safe when carried out by experienced and trained practitioners. At London Real Skin, all of our practitioner received the adequate training. What aftercare is required?
You will be able to go back to your normal activities right after treatment, but your practitioner may ask you to take the day off from exercise or other strenuous activity. Alcohol consumption should be avoided before and the day of the treatment. Makeup can be applied after 2 hours. This is to allowed the injection site to close and avoid infection. Ice maybe applied onto the injected area to reduce swelling and discomfort.
How long does the results last?
How long the effects of dermal fillers will last depend on the product injected, the area of treatment, and the patient. Usually, the thicker the product is and the more deeply it is injected, the longer it will last. To maintain the results, you will need to repeat the treatment every 12 months to 2 years or as needed.
Hyaluronic acid fillers tend to be the most temporary option. When injected in the nose, it will typically last from 12 months to 2 years.
