Before & After Gallery

What are thin lip treatments?

As we get older, our lips are one of the most vulnerable areas for ageing. Over time our lips start to lose fullness and wrinkles starts to appear. A dermal filler also known as Hyaluronic Acid (a natural sugar found in our body) is injected in different areas of the lips. The dermal filler has a smooth gel consistency that delivers a natural look and feel with results that are proven to last up to a year.

Dermal filler can be injected into the vermillion border to recreate that defined shape we have when we are younger. Treatment can make the lips appear less thin and give a more balanced look to the mouth. Finally, it can smooth fine lines above the upper and lower lip .

What are the benefits of using Lip Filler Injections / Augmentation?

After the treatment, the lips are more even, defined and plumper. The wrinkles around the upper and lower lips are softened. The lips will appear more hydrated in the days following your treatment. The results are immediate and can last up to 12 months.

What is involved in Lip Fillers / Lip Enhancement?

During a consultation, one of our practitioner will examine your face. They will determine if you are suitable for this procedure. If so, photos will be taken before the procedure.

The lips will be cleansed with an antiseptic solution and the practitioner will mark the areas to inject. A topical local anaesthetic cream will be applied to your skin. It will be left on for about 20 minutes.

After the local anaesthetic is removed the practitioner will start injecting.
Photos will be taken after the procedure, and this allows the practitioner to compare the results.

What are the risks or potential side effects of Lip Fillers?

There may be some bleeding during the treatment. As a result, there may be some bruising and swelling in the injected area that can last for 24 to 48 hours. Your practitioner may recommend applying ice for 15 minutes afterwards on the injected area to minimise swelling and to make it more comfortable.

For all London Real Skin Lip Filler Treatments we use the highest quality products that have been rigorously tested & meet strict industry standards. Our Lip Fillers in London services are administered by highly experienced clinicians in a controlled environment.

What is a Dermal Filler?

Dermal Fillers are materials that are often used to reduce wrinkles, skin cratering, skin depressions and other imperfections in the skin. They are often used on the Face and can be injected to provide a more “full” look ironing out any wrinkles – which is why they are commonly used for lip fillers.

Dermal Fillers are often made from synthetic materials designed for safe use.

The most common dermal fillers used for the lip area are Hyaluronic acid (Typically Juvederm & Restylane).

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found naturally throughout the body. It typically gives skin its elasticity & allows skin to retain volume (associated with more youthful looks). As we age levels of hyaluronic acid in the body fall which means that skin does not maintain the same level of elasticity, leading to skin imperfections & wrinkles.

Dermal Fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm are injectable gels that are based on Hyaluronic Acid.

What is the cost of Lip Filler Injections?
