Advanced Honest Results

At London Real skin, you can choose from a variety of aesthetic treatments from our team of highly skilled and experienced Aesthetic Practitioners.

One of these treatments includes the popular Dermal Lip Fillers. We have seen effective results with this lip treatment and recommend it to those patients who wish to add subtle volume to their lips, giving them a fuller, more even, natural-looking and defined look. As we get older, our lips are one of the most vulnerable areas for ageing. Dermal Lip filler treatment can help to soften those lines around the upper and lower lips.

We use JUVEDERM®filler – which is the number 1 doctor-recommended facial filler in the UK, that contains hyaluronic acid- a natural occurring substance in the skin that retains moisture to boost hydration and elasticity.

Our Dermal Lip Fillers are administered quickly & offer immediate results with little to no downtime.

We arranged to meet with highly experienced Nurse Mrs Vanessa Charrest to talk more about the Dermal Lip filler treatment. Vanessa is extremely passionate about cosmetic Dermatology and aesthetics.

Why you would recommend this treatment Vanessa?

“Dermal filler is a great treatment for people who would like to improve the appearance of their lips. Whether it is to give more volume or improve the shape of your lips dermal filler can be injected. Asymmetry can also be corrected.”

What are the benefits of this treatment?

“ Well It will make your lips look more plumped and hydrated. It can last for up to 12 months. It is not permanent therefore completely reversible and it can improve someone’s face harmonization.”

What is some of the feedback you have received from patients about this treatment?

“My patients will say that I do very natural-looking lips. They feel like their lips have been subtlety enhanced. They also like the fact that immediate results can be seen.”

What can patients expect when they come into Clinic for the treatment?

“During the first complimentary skin consultation, our patients’ concerns and expectations will be discussed. Their skin will be assessed with the Observ 520- a state of the art skin analysis system- for an in depth skin analysis, and a treatment plan will be created and tailored for their individual skin needs. Photos will also be taken and kept for future comparison. If the patient is suitable for the treatment, he/she will be invited back in to book an appointment for the treatment.

During the treatment, once numbing cream has been applied, the dermal filler which is a gel-like substance made of hyaluronic acid- a substance already present in our body, will be injected into the lips or vermillion border to enhance or correct the patient’s lips. The gel stays in place for up to 1 year and the results are seen immediately. The lips will look great and natural with a lighter dermal filler.

The most common side effects are bruising and swelling which can last for a few days.”
